We’re back from Edge! There were plenty of reasons to head to Edge this year: the expo floor, the presentations, the plentiful opportunities for networking and, of course, the gala. But, the biggest draw was the general session talks from our executive team and a few special guests.

Customizations and software extensions often require complex code changes, software redeployment and other challenges that inhibit rapid and frequent deployment of these extensions. Aptean recently changed the framework in which customizations and extensions can be leveraged in our Compiere product line. By deploying a new SOAP framework, Compiere release 3.8.1 has decoupled the create/read/update/delete transactions between external applications and Compiere, enabling rapid deployment and alleviating code changes to make it happen.

Last night marked the first annual Aptean Edge Awards & Gala, taking place in Las Vegas during Aptean Edge, the largest gathering of Aptean solution users in North America. The Aptean Award honors organizations that have achieved exceptional results with Aptean technology.

Last night, the Aptean Edge conference got kicked off in style at TAO Nightclub in Las Vegas. We chatted with attendees about Aptean’s leadership  team, the company name and what they are looking forward to in the week.
