Meet Aptean Executives



Paul J. Ilse

Chief Executive Officer

As Chief Executive Officer of Aptean, Paul Ilse is driving the company to ensure it delivers compelling solutions to its customers and remains an industry leader in the enterprise application software market.

Mr. Ilse brings almost 20 years of executive leadership experience in the technology sector. Mr. Ilse is widely known in the industry for his exceptional communication, strategic planning, and analytical skills, along with a demonstrated ability to act as a true business partner and leader across all functions of the organization.

Prior to joining Aptean, Mr. Ilse served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of RedPrairie Holding, Inc. since January 2007. He joined RedPrairie in 2006 as Executive Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions. Prior to joining RedPrairie, he served as Chief Financial Officer of BlueCube Software, Inc. from its inception in 2004 to the acquisition of the business by RedPrairie in 2006. Before BlueCube Software, Paul was Vice President of Finance and Chief Accounting Officer for Radiant Systems, Inc. since July 1998. He joined Radiant Systems, Inc. in January 1996 as its Controller. Prior to joining Radiant Systems, Inc., Mr. Ilse held a variety of senior positions with Price Waterhouse LLP, where he worked primarily with middle market companies and technology firms. He currently serves on the Leadership Committee for the Technology Association of Georgia. He is a CPA and a Member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Mr. Ilse holds a Master’s degree in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Kenneth Frank

Chief Operating Officer

In his role as Chief Operating Officer, Kenneth Frank oversees all aspects of Aptean’s operations, including Marketing/Product Management, Development, Professional Services and Support on a global basis, including its regional operations in APAC and EMEA.

Mr. Frank has cultivated his expertise over the course of his more than 20 years in the telecommunications industry. Having worked and lived on several continents, he is an experienced executive who brings a strong international dimension to his role.

Prior to Aptean, he held a number of executive positions at Alcatel-Lucent, most recently as president of the Alcatel-Lucent/Reliance Industries joint initiative in Mumbai. In this position, Mr. Frank co-led the implementation of an industry-first business platform that will effectively reinvent the role of telecommunications in various aspects of a market economy. He has also served as president of the Alcatel-Lucent Solutions and Marketing group, where he participated as a member of the executive management committee in Paris and had global portfolio responsibility for emerging product and service offerings. In his executive roles at Alcatel-Lucent and other leading communications providers, including BellSouth Telecommunications and AT&T Bell Laboratories, Mr. Frank has directly managed thousands of employees, multi-million dollar budgets, and large product portfolios for global organizations.

Mr. Frank holds an MBA from Emory University, an MS in Computer Science from Stanford University and a BS in Computer Science from the University of South California.

James FitzGibbons

Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer, Mr. FitzGibbons brings more than two decades of senior management and accounting experience, including 15 years in the software and services industry.

Prior to joining Aptean, Mr. FitzGibbons spent four years at Ventyx, an ABB company. As Ventyx’s Chief Financial Officer, he was responsible for all finance and IT functions. His many achievements include the successful integration of Ventyx into ABB and the $200 million acquisition of a global software company.

Mr. FitzGibbons has also served in executive-level finance roles at CDC Corporation, NDCHealth, McKesson Information Solutions and Per-Se Technologies.

After graduating cum laude from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science, Accounting, Mr. FitzGibbons joined Arthur Andersen as an auditor where he also earned his CPA designation.

Kyle L. Bowker

Senior Vice President, Global Sales

In his role as Senior Vice President of Global Sales, Mr. Bowker leads the worldwide Aptean sales team and is responsible for growing the company’s business globally.

A seasoned professional, Kyle Bowker has 28 years of leadership and management experience within the enterprise software industry. Kyle has a proven track record of success in organic and acquisition-based growth strategies enabling the development of long-term, sustainable relationships with shareholders, customers, partners and colleagues.

Before joining Aptean, Mr. Bowker served as Executive Vice President of Americas at RedPrairie Corporation. His career also includes senior executive roles in the enterprise software arena:  VP and MD Americas for Progress Software, SVP Global Sales at Allegro Development Corporation, President and CEO at Nextance, SVP North America sales at PeopleSoft, EVP Worldwide Field Operations at Informatica Corp, SVP and General Manager Manufacturing Sector at SAP America, and managerial roles at Oracle Corporation and Dun & Bradstreet Software.

Mr. Bowker received his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at Tyler, Texas and his Bachelor of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas.

TVN Reddy

Senior Vice President, Engineering

As Senior Vice President of Engineering, TVN Reddy has responsibility for all Product Engineering and Development at Aptean worldwide.

With 16 years of experience in the software and services industries, TVN Reddy has had a very successful career in software engineering and consulting. He has a demonstrated track record in developing and executing successful strategies to rationalize product portfolios and launching transformational products in record times.

Prior to joining Aptean, Mr. Reddy held product development leadership positions at Automatic Data Processing Inc. Most recently, he served as the Vice President of Product Development for the Global ADP Time and Labor products, as well as shared Reporting and Business Intelligence products. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Product Development for ADP's Mid-market Payroll products. Before ADP, TVN Reddy has served as a software consultant at fortune 500 companies.

TVN Reddy graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School, and holds a Masters in Technology from the India Institute of Technology.

Michael Howe

Senior Vice President, Product Management and Marketing

Michael Howe is currently Senior Vice President of Product Management and Marketing of Aptean. Mr. Howe brings almost 20 years of diverse enterprise software experience across a variety of functions. Mr. Howe joins Aptean after an extensive career at SAP where, most recently, he served as Vice President of Marketing and held a diverse range of global leadership responsibilities including worldwide marketing strategy, product and industry marketing, operations and business development.

Prior to SAP, Mr. Howe was Vice President of Product Management at Novient (acquired by Solution 6), an early-stage growth company, where he led the product organization responsible for the product strategy and management of the company’s expanding portfolio of web-based enterprise software solutions.

Prior to Novient, Mr. Howe held a variety of roles at Oracle Corporation, including technical sales consulting, product marketing, and, most recently, in product management, where he was a member of the core team driving definition, development, and worldwide launch of innovative and widely adopted Business Intelligence solutions.

Mr. Howe began his career as a software engineer at Great-West Life Assurance where he was responsible for developing custom-built Oracle applications that drove the company’s core, mission critical business operations.

Mr. Howe earned a Bachelors of Arts in Computer Science Applications and Mathematics from the University of Colorado, Boulder. He earned a Masters in Business Administration from the Harvard Business School in Boston, Massachusetts.

Todd Schulte

Vice President, Global Customer Support and Education

As Vice President for Global Customer Support and Education, Todd Schulte is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of all customer support and education operations across the entire Aptean family of products worldwide.

Until the merger of CDC Software with Consona Corporation to form Aptean, Mr. Schulte served in the same capacity for Consona.  Since joining Consona in 1994, Todd Schulte has held a number of customer facing roles in Customer support, Education, Product and Services management, and Web design. During his time in the company, Todd has successfully overseen the growth of Customer support from 20 to 200 people whilst the catalogue of products was multiplied by 12.

Prior to his tenure at Consona, Mr. Schulte worked as a programmer for the Indiana Department of Environmental Management.

Mr Schulte holds a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from Miami University.

Christopher Lenig

Vice President, Global Professional Services

As Vice President of Global Professional Services at Aptean, Mr. Lenig manages and oversees the consulting team, consulting services delivery, and education.

Mr. Lenig is a seasoned executive with more than 15 years of experience in professional services, corporate and business development, and IT consulting. Prior to joining Aptean, he was Vice President of Corporate Development at P2 Energy Solutions.

Under his leadership, Mr. Lenig led numerous growth and operational improvement initiatives across the organization, and was responsible for integrating multiple acquisitions into the business. He also served as the Vice President of Global Professional Services and was responsible for client implementations across all products and geographic territories. During his 18-month tenure, consulting revenues increased 50% and profits doubled under his leadership.

Before this, Mr. Lenig spent several years at Alvarez & Marsal Business Consulting where he was engaged with clients across multiple industries, leading and managing large systems and business transformation initiatives.

After earning a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas, Mr. Lenig began his career at SourceNet Solutions, where from 1997 to 2006, he held various roles in operations and business development in both the United States and Europe.
