Aptean Enterprise Software Applications for Manufacturers
Aptean knows manufacturing, with more than 4,000 manufacturing customers and 14 manufacturing software applications across the enterprise resource planning (ERP), manufacturing execution system (MES), product configuration, and event management framework solution categories. Each of our manufacturing software applications, have been designed, from the ground up, based on the best practices and core challenges of the manufacturing industry—and have been enhanced, one release at a time, using the input of some of the world’s leading manufacturing companies—our customers.
SOLUTIONS FOR MANUFACTURERS
Manufacturing ERP Software
Most companies looking for manufacturing ERP are looking to replace their legacy system in order to take their company to a new level of efficiency and profitability. Typically, ERP implementations result in inventory reductions, as well as significant cost savings associated with increased productivity, better control of material
acquisition, improved quality, and reduced lead times.
All manufacturing ERP systems have the same objective: they aim to achieve full cooperation across production, materials, planning, engineering, finance and sales/marketing with tight data and process management. Measurements, analysis and simulation capabilities can help companies plan better and react sooner and more effectively to changes in demand, competitive actions, and supply chain disruptions.
How to choose an ERP solution is a different story all together. Aptean offers a wide range of ERP solutions designed for deep functional fit. From discrete to process manufacturing, we have deep industry functionality that highly aligns with the way you do business and product experts that speak your language. Some of our
vertical solutions cover:
- Dynamic, mixed-mode discrete manufacturing environments, such as industrial and commercial machinery or fabricated metals.
- Formula-based manufacturing environments, such as food and beverage and pharmaceuticals.
- Manufacturing for regulated industries, such as electronics, medical devices, aviation and others.
- Metal, wire and cable manufacturing, as well as metal or steel service centers.
- Multi- warehouse distribution with light manufacturing environments, such as retail and e-commerce.
- Engineer-to-order, project-based manufacturing, such as transportation and equipment.
- Printed circuit board manufacturing.
- Process-based plastics manufacturing.
- Aerospace and defense manufacturing.
In today's competitive environment manufacturers need to shave every cent they can from their costs per unit. This means being able to see production issues as they arise and act upon them immediately in order to impact the current shift's output. Our Factory MES solution is a packaged manufacturing execution system (MES) that transforms manufacturing performance on the factory floor by empowering people to make real-time actionable decisions. It is a platform that is used to standardize improved daily work control practices and formalize the continuous improvement initiatives already in place. It integrates the functionality of shop floor data capture, packaged metrics like Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), analytics and scorecards, continuous improvement capabilities and paperless quality management. The technology is combined with a proven change method that focuses on developing a structure of daily performance reviews to drive a better performance every run, every shift, every day. The process works on developing operator skills so they are able to drive their own improvements on the shop floor, and is typically deployed in less than six weeks per factory.
Product Configuration Software
Many manufacturers look to product configuration software to provide internal service staff or end customers with an easy-to-use portal that allows them to configure-to-order the products that they need. As a result, manufacturers gain more accurate pricing, specifications, bills-of-material and process routings which decreases the time required to take an order from concept to completion.
Aptean’s Product Configurator is a bottoms-up, rules-based product configuration application that streamlines processes from quoting to delivery for engineer-to-order (ETO), make-to-order (MTO), assemble-to-order (ATO), and configure-to-order (CTO) manufacturing companies. Many of our customers fall within vertical industries that manufacture custom products, such as automotive, office furniture, and a wide range of specialized industrial and office equipment producers.
Event Management Framework Software
Manufacturers are often drowning in data, and they need systems that can call attention to critical events and non-events across their enterprise and supply chain. Is inventory too low? Are shipments on time? What jobs are late? Is my financial data lining up with my production data? What products are below my margin threshold? There are endless triggers that can be handled by Aptean’s Event Management Framework application that can help finance, operations, and even IT leadership proactively manage core business metrics, as well as quickly react to unplanned, but critical issues. Aptean’s Event Management Framework can be integrated with any front- or back-office system, including all of Aptean’s manufacturing ERP systems, across a wide range of vertical industries and manufacturing styles.
