LFE chooses Aptean as partner for the Business Central SaaS migration
LFE has chosen Aptean as its partner for the migration to Business Central SaaS. With Aptean Food & Beverage ERP, the wine importer is building a scalable, future-proof ERP environment in the cloud.

Breda, June 2026 – LFE, a leading wine importer and distributor and part of the French wine company Castel, announced a strategic partnership with Aptean to migrate to the Aptean Food & Beverage ERP, powered by Microsoft Business Central in the Cloud.
LFE purchases wines from wine houses and producers worldwide, supplying them to the hospitality industry and supermarkets. With deep market knowledge, a strong logistics organisation, and a broad portfolio, LFE plays a critical role in helping its customers successfully compose and add value to their wine assortments.
To ensure it can continue delivering this value well into the future, LFE has taken a significant step forward in its digital transformation journey, selecting Aptean as its technology partner for the next phase of growth. The migration to Aptean Food & Beverage ERP on Business Central in the Cloud will provide LFE with a modern, scalable platform designed specifically for the needs of food and beverage businesses, enabling greater operational efficiency, flexibility and resilience.
Growth Requires a Solid Digital Foundation
LFE is one of the fastest growing wine companies in the Netherlands and now delivers more than 30 million bottles annually to B2B customers. That scale demands control, oversight, and flexibility in operations. Processes must move in step with volumes, customer expectations and market developments, without increasing complexity.
That is why LFE has chosen to build on its existing ERP environment and make it future proof in the Cloud.
Further Development Rather Than Replacement
LFE was already an ERP customer of Aptean. The choice for Aptean is therefore not seen by them as a reimplementation, but as a logical continuation. With Aptean Food & Beverage, LFE benefits from continuous innovations, straightforward updates and an increasingly rich standard solution.

A Scalable Solution With Room for the Customer
The choice for Aptean is based in part on standardization and scalability. For LFE, it was important that functionalities that were previously considered custom-built are now part of the standard Aptean Food & Beverage solution. Think of Sales-Purchase Conditions and logistics processes such as the Transport Order functionality.
Standardization ensures smoother updates and lower costs. With Aptean F&B, the solution will also continue to align with the specific needs of the beverage industry through ongoing developments. In its search for Business Central in SaaS, LFE looked at multiple vendors, but Aptean distinguished itself through this combination of industry knowledge and scalability.
The result is an ERP environment that properly safeguards core processes and can further reduce a number of repetitive tasks, allowing employees to shift their attention from administrative complexity to what truly adds value: customer-focused working.
"In various sessions with LFE, a Solution Consultant and also Product Management, we looked at how we can help LFE in their desire to work more efficiently and make use of available functionality, so they can ultimately focus on what matters most at LFE: attention for the customer." — Martine Vrolijk, Senior Account Manager, Aptean

Innovation and Future-Oriented
AI is on LFE's roadmap but is approached deliberately and selectively. The SaaS migration also forms part of the foundation for enabling future innovations. LFE is exploring where AI genuinely contributes to efficiency and decision-making, looking first at standard Microsoft capabilities.
Innovation therefore follows strategy, not the other way around.
"Together with the planned move to Vianen at the beginning of 2028, the collaboration with Aptean is an important component for the next phase of growth." — Frank den Hartog, Director Business Process Management, LFE
