Keep in mind that while your business may not require live routing software right now, our solutions are scalable. You can opt to add Aptean Route Execution to your tech stack down the road as your operations grow and become more complex.

While Aptean Route Execution itself doesn’t record driver behaviour data, it can create driver scorecards that include excessive speeding and harsh braking events—as well as miles driven, plan-vs.-actual route taken, fuel consumed and idling time—by integrating with vehicle telematics systems.

That way, more specific and meaningful feedback can be given during the debrief process to address individual drivers’ undesirable habits. Many transportation businesses also choose to encourage friendly competition and continuous improvement by posting metrics on a leaderboard and giving awards to the highest performers.

All route execution data—including delivery statuses, on-time delivery rate (OTDR), plan-vs.-actual route duration and more—is kept up to date in an SQL database and the Live Management module’s dashboards let you monitor KPIs based on that data in real time. You can drill down into the details simply by clicking the KPI you want to investigate and generate customised reports to share across your transportation operation.

The module also lets you compare performance across depots and teams and it identifies the largest variances so that you can identify opportunities for improvement. Meanwhile, Live Management’s arrivals board gives you visibility into individual calls and you can provide your customers with access so that they can track their in-progress deliveries and collections.

Plus, now that our route planning and route execution software are delivered on the AppCentral ecosystem, the apps are natively integrated with business intelligence (BI) technology and AI-powered analytics.
