In the UK, the payment protection insurance (PPI) scandal won’t soon be forgotten. It is one of the largest consumer scandals England has ever seen, costing them nearly £50 billion in total. For more than a decade, Britain’s banks had been selling expensive, ineffective and inefficient PPI. Naturally, this left customers feeling more vulnerable than ever before.
