Alpharetta, GA, July 12, 2018 – Aptean, a leading global provider of mission-critical, industry-specific enterprise software solutions, has released Aptean Factory MES 9.1, which further builds on functionality improvements and industry firsts introduced into the version 9 solution last fall.

Developed using HTML5, Factory 9 represents a huge leap forward for the product, with modern and interactive functionality improvements designed to optimize navigation within the platform and make data analysis more intuitive and accessible for process manufacturers. Highlights of Factory 9.1 include:

  • An end-to-end value stream focus from batching/blending all the way to packaging, providing complete visibility into the manufacturing process from start to finish

  • Enhanced tracking of all changeover activities in a facility (flavor, size, allergens and more)

  • Industry firsts in the methods used to measure sanitation time, CIP and tank change efficiency

  • Ability to automatically track labor usage and variance on all lines

  • A new set of improved dashboards and dynamic reports

  • A paperless QA scheduling tool to deploy checks based on the date, day, time and other parameters.

Unlike generic MES systems, Factory MES combines an easy-to-use solution with a proven change methodology to engage operators all the way through to senior managers to drive a better performance culture across every run, shift and day.

“With every iteration of Factory MES, we strive to introduce new functionality that will keep our customers on top of their game when it comes to tracking and improving their plant performance. Factory 9.1 is the perfect example of that,” said Roy Thomas, business leader for Aptean Factory MES. “Its advanced value stream reporting served up in a streamlined manner makes Aptean Factory a must-have for process and discrete manufacturers always looking to stay one step ahead.”

Aptean Factory MES (manufacturing execution system) uses real-time shop floor data to give operators, supervisors and executives actionable intelligence and complete visibility into production and quality to help organizations attain their manufacturing plans and maximize overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). Factory MES is available on-premise or in the cloud.
