Atlanta, June 3, 2015 — Today, Aptean announced the launch of Aptean Analytics for Metals. Powered by analytics leader QlikView and supporting Aptean’s Axis ERP solution, Aptean Analytics delivers graphical dashboards designed to provide actionable insights for metals producers, processors and service centers.

“In order to succeed, modern metal manufacturers must move at an extraordinary velocity. Having immediate access to trending data is critical to being proactive and making impactful business decisions,” said Michael Bhatt, director of Information Technology, Fisk Alloy Wire, Inc. “Aptean Analytics will enable us to deep dive into the details of our business including scrap, yield, quality measures and sales analytics—to help us understand the ‘whys’ that drive our business’ success.”

Aptean Analytics’ specialized dashboards focus on the needs of metal manufacturers, taking away the complexity of traditional Business Intelligence (BI) solutions. The dashboards can be tailored as needed, giving each customer metrics that are specific to their organization. By providing metals manufacturers with a view into sales, inventory, cost, and trended data, this tool paves the way from descriptive and diagnostic reporting to predictive and prescriptive analytics.

The following advancements are being delivered by Aptean Analytics:

  • Unlimited ability to make associations based on any product and order attributes, critical when dealing with metals product and customers.

  • Current, sortable inventory data and history across the plant or the entire enterprise.

  • All aspects of costs available and filterable immediately, to produce trends, reports and actions as to what needs to be done to adjust costs and impact margins.

  • The sharing and collaboration through the use of analytics across the enterprise.

“Aptean Analytics gives metals manufacturers the capacity to make decisions with the right amount of data provided in the right way,” said Peter Weymouth, Axis ERP product manager, Aptean. “Aptean Analytics delivers the right combination of specialization, simplicity and actionable information to serve the metals industry.”
